Nui staff take their learning on the lake

Last week, teachers from Nui started the year with some professional development on Taupo's own 'Floating Classroom'. The day was organized by Kristy Northcroft as part of her initiative with the Tuwharetoa Cultural Knowledge Implementation Project, and supported by Chris Jolly Outdoors.  The focus of the session was on helping educators develop new initiatives for improving localised curriculum integration, and uplifting Tuwharetoatanga- mana whenua. It was an informative and thought-provoking afternoon for everyone involved, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Kristy and Chris Jolly Outdoors for the opportunity to be part of it.
