Turns out paper planes can be a valuable learning tool

Last term, students discovered that throwing paper planes in class could be a great learning opportunity. The maths classes looked at a variety of factors when creating their paper planes, including measurement, distance, statistics such as variables and repeatability, and of course, geometry (plane style). Of important note, year 10 student Jayden Phillips threw his plane 17.8m for third place, while year 11 student Levi Goldsack came in second place with 21.7m. Elliott Smith, also from Year 11, earned first place with a throw of 23m!
