Tourism class jump straight into learning!

Tourism class jump straight into learning!

Year 12 and 13 Tourism students were lucky enough to spend the afternoon with AJ Hackett Taupo Bungy & Swing recently.  They discussed the importance of tourism to our local economy, the history of adventure tourism in NZ and globally, and recent challenges to the industry.

It was also great to see the guardianship, protection, and preservation of our local Waikato river; flora and fauna is a key aspect of their daily work.

Thanks to Sonya and the team at AJ Hackett Taupo - the students really enjoyed the visit and it was great to see a few of them 'take a jump' too!
