Nui students to compete at Maadi Cup in Karapiro

We have a small, but mighty crew of Nui rowers who are competing at the AON Maadi Cup at Karapiro this week - Kees, Matt, Annie, and Zoe, in conjunction with a fifth teammate, Naomi, from Tauhara College.

In the biggest regatta that has ever been held in NZ, 2433 athletes are competing from 122 schools from around the country. The competition kicked off with a parade of athletes through the main street of Cambridge.

Our rowers are competing in single and double skulls and we wish them every success in their heats. A big thanks to the coach, Janette Newth, for all her work with the team this year.
