Line 6 students participate in a trip to the Aratiatia Dam
Our Line 6 students had the opportunity to head outdoors and explore the Aratiatia Dam. The course this term combines Geography and Outdoor Ed, and students were observing one of the local tourist attractions to identify and discuss the risks/hazards of the area. They had a representative from Mercury Energy come and talk about the dam and the procedures in place to eliminate the risk of people drowning in the rapids downstream. It was a great day out for our students!
