Students qualify to compete in the BOP Junior Badminton Finals

We are pleased to announce the success of our Junior Badminton Teams at the recent Central Bay of Plenty Qualifying Competition. 

The Boys Team, Sasha Parize-Baker, Samuel McKay, Ben Chapman and Sam Barlow, won the Junior Boys division by defeating each of the other 5 teams present. A superb achievement from a relatively inexperienced group, who all played exceptionally well and supported each other through the competition. The Team have therefore qualified for the Junior Bay of Plenty finals taking place in Tauranga.

The Girls Team, Holly Read, Briar Moore, Haruka Petersen and Naira Mikayla, placed second in the Junior Girls CBOP Qualifying Competition, and have also qualified for the Junior Bay of Plenty finals in Tauranga. The team played very well throughout the day and were a credit to the school through both their technical skill and sporting conduct. Well done!
