Chalk it up to creativity!

Chalk it up to creativity!

Laura McCarthy (left) and Rocio Dysart (right) creating environmentally-friendly pavement chalk

Nui students, Rocio and Laura, are in the "Flying the Flag" group where students have been tasked with brainstorming ideas to welcome and motivate the athletes coming to Taupo for the World Series Ironman 70.3 at the end of November.
Rocio and Laura's idea is to make environmentally-friendly chalk. This can be used to write motivational messages for the athletes on the roads (cycle and run legs) while ensuring that the chalk won't harm the lake environment when it washes off in the rain. We are proud of the creativity and enviromental awareness these girls have shown. Great stuff!
