Tournament Week Results
Last week we had over 100 students representing Taupo-nui-a-Tia College during Tournament Week, travelling to different parts of the country to compete and represent our kura.
Here are some of the results:
Netball: 25th overall in the C Grade. Kymani was also selected for Magic in Making, which was an awesome individual achievement.
Girls Hockey: 17th overall
Boys Hockey: 9th overall
Football: 8th overall
Junior Basketball Prems Team: 3rd overall in the Championship Grade, with Hui selected in the All-Star Five. Hui and Toby were also the top two point scorers in the Championship Grade.
Senior Basketball Premiers: 13th overall
Underwater Hockey: 7th in the Junior Open category, with the team also receiving the Overall Fair Play Trophy.
We also had students representing the school at Equestrian; we are waiting for final results.
Alongside the results, we received a lot of positive feedback from coaches and managers about the way our students represented Taupo-nui-a-Tia College. Students showed pride, respect and good sportsmanship, both on and off the field, and were great ambassadors for our kura.
