The Junior prems basketball team recently competed at the Taranaki Steelformers Year 9/10 tournament in Hawera from 28th August to 1st September.
The team: Hui, Toby, Will, Levi, Jadyn, Brandyn, Ryan, Brendel, Sean, Chase
Coach (for this tournament): Michelle Wi
Managers: Rahui Rameka, Rebecca Harvey.
The boys had an awesome tournament, learnt heaps, grew their game and came away with 3rd place in the Championship grade.
Hui made the All-Star 5 team.
Toby and Hui were the top 2 point scorers for the whole Championship grade.
Proud representatives of Taupo-nuo-a-Tia College, with our mate Kingston from Tauhara College coming as our referee.
Big thanks to JB and Nia, who have coached and guided this team all of the regular season. Also to Daz, who has supported these boys through their development.
