Last Thursday our Junior A Boys Volleyball team took up a last minute spot at the South Waikato Volleyball Championships held in Tokoroa. It was a fabulous opportunity to see where they are at against competition around the region in advance of the Term 4 BOPSS Volleyball Championships they are working towards.
And a happy day it was as they took out the Junior Boys title, winning every game they played.
Their opposition were Forest View High School, Tokoroa High School, and an invitational team
A highlight of the day was an extra game / one set arranged at the last minute against the Hillcrest Junior Boys Premier team who were playing as an invitational side in the Senior Boys competition.
Our boys worked really well together and completely shut down their middle attack, whilst building a strong attack from all over the court. Although they lost they put Hillcrest under so much pressure with only a few points in it. Something to be proud of. Well done!
