Students from a number of classes had the fantastic opportunity to 'have a go' at Wheelchair Basketball on Wednesday.
A huge thank you to Lawrence Wilkinson from Halberg Foundation and Parafed Waikato, who supplied the wheelchairs. Finally, our very own Year 13 student, Dannica Wilson-Spencer, for leading the sessions and putting everyone through their paces. Our students learned new skills, picked up serious speed, and brought amazing energy to every turn.
The highlight of the day was an epic STAFFvsYEAR 13 showdown at lunchtime! It was a nail-biter of a game, with the Staff clinging to victory with a 5–4 win!
Days like today are a great reminder of the power of inclusive sports, teamwork, and a little friendly rivalry. Thank you to Lawrence and Dannica for making it all happen!
