We recently took 2 teams to the Junior Badminton Central Bay of Plenty Qualifying tournament in Rotorua.
Both our Junior Boys and Girls Team had a great day trying to qualify for the finals in early August.
The Boys Team finished equal first on the day and have qualified to compete in the finals in Tauranga.
Our Boys Team player of the day was Elliot Turquier for his great play at the baseline in his first ever Badminton tournament.
The Girls Team finished third overall, including drawing with the overall winners and they have also qualified for the finals.
Our Girls Team player of the day was Nicole Wang for her play, umpiring and leadership of the Team.
