On Friday we sent 3 seniors and 2 juniors teams to Tauranga to compete in the BOPSS 3x3 Championships.
One junior team competed in the Div 1 grade & the 2nd in the Div 2 grade.
Congratulations to our Jnr Boys Division 1 winners who managed to beat Tauranga Boys College in the final 11-10. Sent into overtime by a made free throw by Roman with no time remaining in regular time.
A 2nd congratulations to our Jnr Boys Division 2 finalist. Falling by the shortest of margins in another nail biting overtime game vs Tauranga Boys College 15-14. They went undefeated until the final so a valiant effort by these boys to show that Nui basketball is most definitely on the rise & can hang with the best in our region.
