Homestay Families Needed

Homestay Families Needed

We are looking for welcoming families for our international students who arrive at the beginning of next year.

In late January 2024, we are welcoming the following students:

1.      Year 12 female student from Germany, who stays for 2 terms (until July). She likes gymnastics, playing music (flute),  baking, and sports in general.

2.      Year 12 female student from Germany who arrives on the 20th of January and stays for 2 terms. She likes cooking vegetarian dishes and is curious about the NZ landscape and culture.

3.      Year 12 female student from Germany who stays for 2 terms. Likes listening to music, cooking, and crocheting, and, in Germany, is part of a Scouts Group.

4.      Year 12 female student from Japan. She will be here for the full year with academic goals. She is very dedicated and likes playing music and dancing.

All students are coming to NZ to experience the beauty of our country and the people who live here.

We are looking for homestays who can be a second family for these students, and who will be able to engage them in their lives. The students will need a room for themselves and, of course, they will have meals with you. The weekly allowance from January 2024 will be $290 per week. We can place two students from different backgrounds in one family, if you can offer two rooms, but won’t be able to place two German students in one family.

Before we will accept you, the school will visit you at your home to discuss many practical aspects of hosting a student. We will also undertake a police vet check for core caregivers.

During the student’s stay, you can rely on full 24/7 support from the school to ensure a pleasant stay.

For more information, please get in touch with Aniek Lenoir or Victoria Langford Putt at: [email protected]

We will send you an information package and follow up with a phone call.
