11ODE getting out and about in Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne Conservation Park

Our first group of Year 11 Outdoor Education students headed out to Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne Conservation Park. Students had the opportunity to learn about cultural and natural history, native flora and fauna, map work, and tramping and camping skills all in the presence of an impressive and majestic rainforest. The highlight for many was when a North Island brown kiwi wandered into the campsite during evening activities. It was definitely a camp to remember!
