This week’s Student of the Week, Connor Morison (Taupō Intermediate, Taupō Primary), has made a big impression with his progress as he has moved through the years at Taupo-nui-a-Tia College. Connor has been nominated by his classroom teachers for the kindness and integrity he displays each day. Importantly, these are Connor’s values, rather than being performed with the expectation of a reward. Connor’s favourite class at school is drama, which he is studying as an NCEA Level 1 subject in 2023. This has helped provide the opportunity for Connor to perform in the production of “Grease” where he is showing his adaptability and positive attitude by filling into a variety of roles while illness has impacted the cast. On Tuesday night, Connor was Eugene, then on Wednesday Brother Mac, and on Thursday he returned to the role he had previously prepared for as Johnny Casino. What an amazing effort! Keep up the great work Connor, and we look forward to seeing you perform tonight and Saturday night in the final two shows.
