Amélie’s Athletics and Cycling summer ‘holidays’

Amélie’s Athletics and Cycling summer ‘holidays’

Athletics and Cycling have kept Amélie busy over the summer break!

The NZSS Athletics champs were held in December last year.  Amelie attended, having qualified in 6 different events which is an impressive achievement at a National level. Here she performed well and gained 3rd place in the Hammer Throw. Due to the horrific weather, none of the athletes achieved PB results.

Amélie also competed in her very first Club Cycling competition at the end of February.  It was the Waikato Bay of Plenty and Auckland Combined Competition. She entered in the 200m Sprint Race and the Points Race, winning gold for both.  What an amazing effort!

We wish Amelie all the best at the National Heptathlon event this weekend.
