Junior Rowing Championships

Junior Rowing Championships

Last weekend, students that belong to the local rowing club headed to Lake Karapiro, the home of NZ rowing for the Junior Championships.  It was both exciting and daunting for them to experience the professional setting and facilities, with proper lane markers, and starting gates.  They rose to the challenge, their cornerstone values shone through, and they had results to be proud of.

Papillon Pointer and Gabby Donald – 4th overall U16 double sculls

Papillon Pointer and Milly Walker – A final U15 double sculls

Gabby Donald – B final - U16 single scull

Harry Febery – Competed in U17 single sculls, double sculls, and quadruple sculls

Lucy McKay – Competed in U15 double sculls

Congratulations to all of you.  We look forward to hearing about your experience at the North Island Secondary Schools Championships in a couple of weeks!
