Taupo Marathon

Taupo Marathon

Congratulations to our five incredible students and teachers that participated in the 5km walk event at the Taupo Marathon on Saturday 6th August.

It was a wonderful experience for our two students Dannica Wilson-Spencer and Nidhi Patel, both in power chairs, to be able to participate in this fun event. Emma Andrews, Kate Parker-Ord, and Prabshir Bhullar enjoyed zooming through the waterfront course too.

It was a wonderful experience for the students and teachers; Janet Bishop, Linda Glasswell, Kelly Adam, and Louise Brown who supported them along the way.

As they finished their race, they were interviewed by Andrew Leiataua from More FM with Aimee Elliott their Specialist Teacher who’d completed the 21km race.

This was a wonderful experience for our three girls Emma, Nidhi, and Dannica who will be attending the Halberg Games in October this year in Auckland.

A big thank you to TotalSport and Taupo More FM for their support.

Congratulations to all our Taupo Nui-a-Tia students and teachers that participated in the different race events on Saturday!
