Shakespeare Festival

Our Will is Strong TNT makes the Shakespeare Festival Nationals again

Taupo-nui-a-Tia College hosted the South Waikato Regionals of the SGCNZ UOSW Shakespeare Festival for the fifth year in a row on Sunday 7 April.

 

It was an amazing afternoon where college talent from around Taupo and across the region fretted “their hour upon the stage” in style.

 

Awhimai Fraser of Shortland Street and Ahikaaroa fame, along with Modern Maori Quartet founder and member, James Tito (who is also a Toi Whakaari trained actor who has performed on the Globe stage in London), took time off between filming and performing to come down to adjudicate.

 

Our college entered two 15 minute extracts and two 5 minute entries and took home a stack of awards. The full results are as follows:
