Taupo-Nui-a-Tia College have a strong Waka Ama programme with a number of our students competing for both the school and local club. Whilst predominantly a summer sport with school regattas held during Term 1, our students are encouraged to continue training through the winter months so they are able to compete in club events throughout the year.
Summer trainings are held from in front of the Taupo Yacht Club on Tuesdays at 4-5.30pm, and Saturday from 9-11am.
All students are welcome to come and give Waka Ama a try. If you have any questions about our Waka Ama programme please contact our teacher in charge.
Waka Ama Fees & Terms
All fees must be paid prior to competition.
All students, staff, and supporters are to adhere to the Taupo-Nui-a-Tia College sports policies, and Sport Bay of Plenty Terms of Involvement.
