Photography winner: Congratulations to Joshua Clarke in Year 9 who was the winner of the 13 year old section of the Shirley Shoes/Next Shoes February Art competition. Joshua also had three entries in the Ellerslie International Flower Show in Christchurch under their “Focus on Flowers” competition. The top 100 photos went on display at the show, including all three of Joshua’s. Entries are being made into a DVD that will be available for the public to buy.

The Australian Science Examination was sat in term two and we had 37 participants. Of those, 12 students gained “credit” (between 80-90%) and 6 gained “distinction” (between 90 – 98%). It is noteworthy that Thomas Eatson is ranked in the top 3% of New Zealand year 9 students – an exceptional achievement!

BADMINTON The TNT Badminton team qualified for the BOP/Waikato Championships again in 2008 and performed very well, then went on to retain the Hardisty Trophy first competed for in 2007, winning 30 of 34 games. Teams were - Girls, Grace Senior, Jade Peters, Jessica Williams, Melanie Cooper, Chantal Lesene, and Boys, Jamie Carson, Jack Delves, Mitchell Kane, Tama Merriman and Potiki Te Rangiita.
