SPEC

Alisa is the first student in NZ to be awarded the SPEC “Certificate in Mainstream Studies Level 1. SPEC is a school based course that has a ‘self-directed’ approach and encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning, Students choose tasks they want to complete and actively take part in the planning and reviewing of their work. This approach challenges the individual and helps them to make decisions for themselves with the help of the teacher. The aim of the course is based on Specific Preparation for Employment and Citizenship.
