We are committed to meeting all the healthy eating initiatives at the college. Our Canteen only serves, milk, water and fruit juices, a range of sandwiches and a special each day. CANTEEN INFORMATION AND PRICE LISTS 2009
Taupo-nui-a-Tia College is fortunate to have an extremely good canteen that is the envy of many schools around the country. The canteen supplies a wide range of healthy food and drinks. We regret there has been a slight rise in prices this year but this has been unavoidable as a result of the rise in transport and basic food costs.
The Canteen is open from 8.20 to 8.35am (breakfast foods available,) 10.55 to 11.25 morning break,
1.30 – 2.15 lunch break.
Below is a sample of the food and drinks on offer at the canteen.
- Sandwiches - $2 items. Chicken and mayonnaise; Ham and cheese roll; Ham and egg wrap, Chicken wrap
- Freyas Bread Sandwiches $3.40. Various fillings e.g. chicken and avocado; BLA; bacon and egg;
chicken salad; chicken and camembert
- Filled rolls - $2.80 - $3.40. Various fillings e.g. ham salad; chicken satay; chicken, bacon and avocado; chicken cream cheese and plum sauce.
- Wraps - $3.60. Various fillings e.g. chicken satay; mexican chicken
- Morning Tea specials – ranging from 1.20 to $3 e.g. spaghetti buns; ham and cheese melts; pizza; chocolate bread
- Lunch Specials – ranging from $3.20 - $3.80 e.g. chicken noodle box; hot chicken rolls; chicken bacon and BBQ sauce burgers; butter chicken; macaroni cheese.
- Sushi $3.60, Salads $2.50 - $3.00, Fruit Salad $3.40, Seasonal Fresh Fruit, Yoghurt $1, Noodles in a cup $2.40
- Home Baking: $1.80 e.g. chocolate fudge; chocolate brownie; banana cake
- Anchor Milk products are available ranging from $1.20 to $3.
- Frozen products – juices, moosies, cool sips and a range of Tip Top products priced from 80c to $3.20
The canteen takes orders before school and at interval. We look forward to seeing your child at our school canteen.
